Lately...

I have been really sick. I know, I know, I am ALWAYS sick!
Anyhow, I have a lot more too post, but I went to bed at 12:00 last night, didn't sleep very well and Spencer woke me up at 6:30 so I will update tomorrow and put some pictures from Halloween up.
Here some recent pictures of the kids on Sunday.

Yeah!

Yesterday I tried on my wedding dress. I can fit into it! It actually is bigger on the waist, and boobs, and smaller around my arms. I hopefully will be able to fix that by Christmas time. I plan on getting someone to take pictures of Clif in I in front of the Logan temple I am excited to be able to do this! It has been a goal of mine for along time, but with having two kids, it hasn't really been possible. Yeah!

Pictures of our Vacation!

We went to San Diego the end of October. My parents flew in from Washington and met us there. I was sick the night before we left to San Diego and Clif had to pack everything. Then the night before we came home Clif got food poisoning and so then I had to pack everything. It was kind of crazy since I didn't pack to begin with. I wasn't sure if I had everything?? He was so sick though. I felt so bad!

There were so many things to do and not enough time. We were able to go to San Diego Zoo and Sea World. We didn't even have time to go to the beach or anything! It was SO nice to have my parents there with us. It was like being a kid again! I am so glad they were able to take the time and come and be with us. I miss them all the time so it was really nice.

The best part about going to San Diego was going to the temple. My mom and I went through a session together. It is more beautiful than I can put into words. I want to plan a vacation back next year just so I can go there again. I would love for my kids to be able to be married there. There also weren't a lot of people so it was very spiritual, peaceful, and relaxing. I couldn't help, but cry as I walked into the Celestial room.

The worst part was since I wasn't much help packing, Clif forgot our camera charger. There were so many pictures I wanted. My mom was able to take some for us, but I didn't get some of my favorite animals at the zoo and practically none of family. Oh well, at least we got some. At Sea World there was a section that was Sesame Street everything. There were rides that Spencer could go on that were in the shape of Elmo, Oscar, and Abby. He also was able to watch them live and get his picture with Elmo. He was scared at first but got up the never to give both him and Cookie Monster a high five. He was so funny during the show he sat there the whole time with his mouth wide open in a trance. It was great to see him so happy!

Thankful

My friend Shana has been writing something she is thankful for everyday this month. I think that is such a great idea. I don't come on here very often, but I thought I could at least do some tonight. This is is no particular order!

1. I am thankful for all my friends. I especially want to thank Dianna, Jenny, B.J. and Nicole. In the last two weeks all of these girls watched my kids on short notice. It was a hard week for my babysitter and I appreciate friends willing to help out!
I also want to thank Suzie for spending 4 hours helping me with the dvd for church (I am so sorry it took so long), and Tammy for being the best adviser ever. She is just always willing to help and the girls love her!

2. I am thankful for a wonderful, amazing husband who has been getting up with Addelyn since I stopped breastfeeding (about 4 months old). I have been having a really hard time sleeping and if I get up then I am awake for the rest of the night. He is so amazing. He helps with the laundry, dishes, and many more things. I can't wait until next year when I can stay home and he can just come home and relax! I love him so much.

3. I am thankful for two beautiful, healthy kids. I feel so blessed to have two wonderful kids. They make my day fun and they are the main reason I want to come home. Every day when I pick up Spencer he runs into my arms and gives me a big hug. I love that feeling. They really are great kids.

4. I am thankful for the gospel and all that I learn from it. I am thankful for the knowledge I have that families can be together forever. I am thankful for my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and the relationship I build with them everyday. I can't imagine my life without knowing that they are there for me.

5. I am thankful for family (that includes everyone). My mom and I talk everyday. I can't imagine not being able to talk to her- I know though that she could be gone any day now. I just want her to know how much I love her and that she is my best friend in the whole world!

Big Boy Bed!

Spencer has recently become enthralled with all the Sesame Street characters (mainly Elmo of course). So my mom bought him a Sesame Street toddler bed set. Clif set it all up while I was at Parent Conferences on Thursday. He had him stay up later so I could be there to see him on his first night in his big bed. He hasn't had any trouble adjusting except for the fact he wakes up at like 6:30 AM and bangs on the door. He also takes longer to go to bed when it is nap time because he figured out he can get up and play. All in all though he is doing very well! My little boy is growing up!

Videos

I know I have A LOT to update, but we have been really busy and sick again. Clif has started every sickness in the house this year and this time we all have it!
I thought I would put some of the cute videos of Addelyn laughing. I will try and post more tomorrow.

The first one she is laughing at Spencer jumping on our small tramp.

The second is of Spencer entertaining his sister:

This is a preview of what is to come from our trip to San Diego.

Karen, Thanks for being a great friend!

My mom's neighbor died last week. My mom and her were really good friends. They moved into the house across the street when I was in high school. I remember once when I locked myself out of the house she let me in to use the bathroom her phone to call my mom. I didn't even know her, but she was so nice.
My mom really got to know Karen when she offered to tutor her son Joe for free. Karen was a single mom and so didn't have a lot of money to spare. That happened closer to the time when I moved away so I never really got to know her that well.
However, I do know that my mom and her really looked out for each other. They really depended on one another for many things. I know she was a good friend to my mom. I know that she also was good to me. I only wish the best for her son and hope that he is doing okay. I really do understand his pain, as I worry every day that my mom will soon join her.
Thank you Karen for being such an amazing person and a friend to my mom when she needed one the most. I know you will be missed by many people.

Karen had my mom bring this to me when she came up in June. She thought we looked so happy in these pictures and wanted us to always remember how we felt. My mom said she was just so excited to do this for us. It really meant a lot to me.

I miss you grandpa!

I know I have recently talked about my grandpa on here, but I can't pass up another time to remember him. Today was the day he died. I can still remember it like it was yesterday. I was only 12. I remember when we went in for family prayers my dad telling me that grandma had woken up to him not breathing. We found out that he had suffered a heart attack and if he was to live he would be a vegetable. I never got to say goodbye to him. I never got to hug him or tell him that I loved him. I never got to tell him he was my best friend in the whole world. He was just gone. I always feel the void of not having him in my life. I have long ago accepted his death, but it doesn't make me stop wishing that he was here. It doesn't make me stop hoping that he could know my kids. It just helps me continue on. Grandpa if you were here I would run into your arms and tell you what a great Grandpa you were to me. I would maybe even ask if we would find the gold bug together. I would tell you that I love you and I never want to be apart from you again!
