Father's Day

I just wanted everyone to know how much I appreciate the Father of my kids. He helps out so much and I know that I am (as well as our children) so lucky to have him in our lives!
Happy Father's Day out there to everyone!

I also appreciate my own dad and all he has done for me throughout my life!

Trip to the Zoo.

My friend Nicole invited us to go to the zoo today.(Isn't she a sweetie)? It was a nice, hot day and I am so worn out. Her older son invited a friend so altogether there were 5 kids. I kept thinking to myself that I don't know how anyone would manage with 5 little kids on their own (of course they all wouldn't be that close in age). As you can see they had a ball! Isn't Spencer's girlfriend, Abi so precious? It was really nice to get out and do something fun.

2 week Check-up!

Addelyn went for her 2 week check up on Monday. She is a whopping 6lbs and 15 oz! (Spencer was 6lbs 14oz at his 2 week and he started at 6lbs 11 oz). She is in the 25 percentile for weight and 50th for height...so she is long and skinny. We also found out that she does have jaundice (12.1 currently) and an umbilical cord hernia; both of which should go away on their own. (We go on Friday to get her blood drawn to make sure the jaundice has gone down). Other than that she is healthy and doing well.

Going home

On our way home we had two great views.... one was of the beautiful red sun and the other was of Spencer with his finger up his nose! He literally kept it in there for like 10 minutes while he sat and watch his Musical Baby show.

Bear Lake!

This past weekend we decided to use some of our timeshare points and go to Bear Lake. The trip was fun, but it was quite the learning experience. I guess we aren't used to traveling with two because we forgot everything. I think we spent about 50-60 dollars just on things that we forgot or ran out of (bathing suits, swimming diapers, ibprofen, breast pads, and the list goes on and on). The good news is Addelyn had 4 blankets to choose from! Let's just say that on our next trip we will make a list before we go. I did enjoy catching up on my sleep and eating some good food...including a raspberry shake! Spencer went swimming 3 times...I can't wait until he is older and I can teach him how to swim. He also went up the stairs and down the slide on his own...he is becoming such a big boy!

We stopped by Clif's parents house on the way in so they could watch the dogs. We really appreciate them being able to do that for us.
We also were able to enjoy seeing where his mom works, Robyn & Gordon (we are trying to see them as much as we can before they move to WA), and a YUMMY Father's Day dinner!

On my own

Today I was all on my own. My friend was going to take Spencer for the day to help with the transition, but something came up and she only could keep him for an hour. I did survive though and that is what is important. We all got up at 8:16 and I managed to bath Spencer and get all of us dressed and feed by 10:00. I hope I can get a little faster than that. Hopefully once Addelyn begins to eat faster than that will improve the time. The only problem is finding fun things for Spencer to do. He is at the age where he really needs someone to play with. It is hard to be his only playmate. I wish there were more kids his age around. It was sunny again so at least he was able to play outside some. Here are some pictures that I took. Addelyn is wearing her brand new outfit from her Aunt Tara...it is adorable on her! (Thanks again)! Spencer is showing off his two favorite things...bottle and bear. Doesn't Spencer have the prettiest eyes? Addelyn does too, you just can't see as well.

Sunday

Yesterday we had Clif's family out to celebrate the birth of Addelyn (June 1st), Clif (May 17th), Mom Sant (June 11th), and Dad Sant (June 18th). It was really fun to have everyone to our house. It was especially nice not having to be the ones to drive the 2 hours home! Spencer milked up the attention. He is such a ham! He had all of us clapping for him for at least 2 minutes. Of course Addelyn got a lot of attention as well. We really appreciate all both of our families have done for us. We couldn't be any luckier!

Spencer in the Pool!

We got this new pool for Spencer about a month ago. He hasn't really been able to use it because it never has been quite hot enough. We will feel it up and it never warms up enough to get all the way in. Well, yesterday he was finally able to have some fun and fun he had!

(Sorry almost all my posts are about my children...That is pretty much our life right now. Hopefully soon we can get out and go on a date or something)!

Do they look alike?

I was thinking that Spencer and Addelyn have a lot of similarities. It is hard to tell that now because Spencer has changed SO much. I wonder if Addy will end up being blond. Anyhow, I thought it would be fun to compare some pictures of them. (The pictures are rotating Addy and then Spencer).

I made it!

My mom left today. It was a big help having her here. It is going to be hard without her. She gave Spencer a bath, feed him, and helped me keep him busy. We will see how I do...wish me luck! Spencer is doing a lot better with not hitting her. I even got him to take a picture. Clif is being a great help, though I know he is very tired.
We our enjoying the addition to our family and I am loving being a mom! (Ignore the fact that I an still fat)!

More Pictures!

Everything is still going okay. She is really such a good baby. Spencer is doing pretty well adjusting. He slapped in her the face today, but of course he didn't really understand. I think he thought it was like petting the kitty. I just had to add the picture of Addy and Clif and Spencer..don't I have such a handsome husband and beautiful kids? Not to brag or anything, but I love them with all of my heart.

She is here!

I just got home from the hospital and I am really tired, but I wanted to make a quick post. We went in on Saturday at 7:00 AM and out came our precious little girl at 1:00 PM. They gave me pitcion at about 8:00 and around 11:00 I had them give me the epidural as the contractions started to get worse. I was just getting comfortable to try and sleep before the baby came when my cervix started changing really fast. I went from a 4 to a 10 in about an hour. Due to the quick change her hear rate was a little scary and I was really nauseous and threw up once I had her. However, I didn't have to use forceps and I only had to push through 3 contractions! I also didn't get 4th degree tears, just about degree....oh I thank Heavenly Father for making this experience so much better. I of course think she is adorable and love her to death. Though I have missed seeing Spencer everyday...I am not used to being away from him for so long. Clif was great through it all- this time he felt light headed when I got my IV and stitched up instead of just during the epidural. Poor guy! Anyhow...she was 6lbs 4.7oz, 19 inches long and a daddy's little girl! More and better pictures to come...she mainly just wants to sleep and be left alone right now :)
