Spencer!

We got Spencer to do all the funny things he does all at once today. So sorry for all the videos but we just having so much fun with him!!

Funny times!

We have just been having a lot of fun with our growing boy!
Listen carefully to the first video! There are more posts of him on the 2nd page as well!

Addelyn

I don't have any pictures of her in these posts. I haven't had the camera around her much for some crazy reason. I will have to catch up, but here are the two that I do have!!

Lots of posts!

Sorry for all the posts at once. I have been really behind. I am guessing that all the posts, take up more than one post!
This past Friday I took Abi with us to the park. On Wednesday and Fridays our ward has play group. It is pretty fun, but I don't have time to do it every week as it is kind of in the middle of when I am supposed to be getting things ready to go to work.

Spencer's favorite thing to do right now is swing! He loves it so much that that is all he wants to do! Here are some pictures of them swinging! (As good as I could get).

Weight Issues

I have been eating barely anything lately. Not that I am trying to starve myself, but I just get too busy during the day. If do eat, but it just isn't a lot. I decided to go into the doctor and talk to him because I exercise and eat less and breastfeed and nothing seems to work. He decided to run some tests because he think it may be my thyroid and he also ran my rion and vitamin d to see what is going on. Hopefully I will find out tomorrow. If not then he gave me some pills to basically help boost my metabolism so we will see what happens. You can't take the pills while breastfeeding and so I haven't started them. I only have enough milk for her now for small feedings and at night. I just couldn't keep up with her and my schedule. I was waking up at 3:00 in the monring to pump so she would have milk! It if turns out to be my tyhropid then I wont have to take the pills, if it isn't my thryoid than I will wait until 6 months (my breastfeeding goal) and than start. I jusst ove the connection we have and I am reluctant to stop. Oh, and I got some medicine again for my bladder...unfortunately though the side affect is tiredness! Ahhh! I came home early form church and slept!

Thanks Shian and Tom!

Shian and Tom were so nice and watched our kids for us at Temple Square while we went and did some temple work. It was so nice to be able to go to the temple and feel of the spirit. I appreciate both of them so much! Every time we hang out with them I have the best time! Shian has always reminded me so much of myself and I just love her. We went to dinner afterwards and we just had a lot of fun!
Thanks again! I wished we lived closer!

Spencer is signing!

This summer Spencer had a play date with my good friend BJ's son Isaac. While there she let me borrow some of her Signing Time videos. Spencer was throwing a lot of fits at the time and she suggested I try this. My sister-in-law Shian had also suggested that I try it. He has really caught onto it and will even talk with some of the signs...it depends on his mood. The videos along with time outs for every time he hits has really helped with his tantrums. He only has one about once or less a day now instead of 10!

*He can also sign: friend and time. He does know shoes and socks...we just haven't done it for awhile.*

I have the greatest babysitter!

I just wanted to say that it is so nice to not have to worry about my kids when I am at work. She is a really calm and patient person and I am just so glad that I found her. Spencer loves to play with Nathan who is about 3 months younger than him! If I ever decided to watch a few kids when I am done working. I hope to be exactly like her!

He made this one without eating any of the crayons!

This is what she fills out every day for me!

Girls Weekend

Last weekend we went up to my condo in Wolf Creek to get some relaxation! We went shopping and had some greasy hamburgers and fries! While we were there Nicole dyed my hair darker and we all painted our nails! I am still getting used to the color. It is more how it was when Clif and I got married. I think it is more that I am hating my short hair now and just having it a different color makes me hate it more! It was really nice to have some time without a crying baby (though I did miss her a lot)! The only downside was I didn't sleep very week for some reason and little kids running around above us int he morning woke me up earlier than normal.
Thank you Clif for watching the kids so I could have a kid-free weekend! Your time is coming soon! (He went to Chris and Tara's house and hung out with them and his parents for part of the time I was away. I was sad too miss everyone!)

Young Women and Young Men Host a Murder!

Before we could start having activities for the girls, our Bishop wanted us to have a combined activity. Patty (our President) decided to do a Murder Mystery. She had done it a few times before and thought it would be fun.
My advisor and I had a really fun group. Erika (my next-door neighbor), Janessa (Patty's daughter), Andrew (one of my previous 5th grade students), Kade and Danny (who I taught Social Studies in 5th grade as well) were in our group. It was really fun to have kids that I know. The boys would find the clues for us and we would write thm down. In-between finding the clues we had the appitzer, meal, and dessert. During those times we could ask Patty one question (besides who is was of course). Well, we had like two minutes left and Janessa guessed that maybe he killed himself. It made sense because he was depressed and felt like he had no friends, his wife was cheating on him with his bussiness partner, etc.. Danny came up with an expantion of how (since we knew enough of that to kind of guess)....AND WE WON!! I am so competitive so it was so nice to win!! I guess Danny was the first person to figure out how he died in all the times Patty has done this. We had a blast and unfortunately I got so into it that I forgot to take any pictures :(
Next time!

Family Home Evening

We have been trying to be better about Family Home Evening. It is hard when your son can only sit still for a few minutes. However, I have decided it is really important and even if our lesson is about Jesus every week we are going to do it. Hopefully, I can start teaching him some songs as well.
In August I showed him some pictures of Jesus and talked a little bit about Him. We then had him color (scribble) a picture.

This last Monday the Dicksons invited us to go with them to Temple Square. I had a major headache and almost didn't go, but I am so glad we did. It was so peaceful and so calm. I really enjoyed going through the Visitor Center and just thinking of ways that the church has blessed my life. We had a picnic and just had a great time with the Dicksons!
I have been really wanting to go to the temple each month as well. We just don't have a lot of people that we trust the kids with. Hopefully, we can go soon though.

The beautiful temple.

Labor Day

We went camping to Blacksmith Fork Canyon in Hyrum for Labor Day. Clif's family and cousins, aunts, and uncles on his mom side were there and it was a lot of fun. It was hard to camp with a new baby (especially breastfeeding), but I still enjoyed it. We went four-wheeling, played games, ate cookies, and enjoyed each others company. Spencer was a true boy and got all his nice clothes dirty. I decided next time we go camping I am going to buy him so grubs at DI. The best part was we were close to Clif's family house so we got to go home at night, take a shower, and slepe in a nice warm bed. Thank you Mom and Dad for your hospitaltly.
Here are some pictures of the weekend: ( I took a lot form you Robyn, Thanks!)

Me on the way up trying to block the sun with my blanket. Sneaky Clif took a picture of me!

Spencer enjoying a whole bag of chips!

Shian with Spencer. She is such a good babysitter! She let Clif and I go out on the four-wheeler a few times while she stayed back and watched Spencer and Addelyn. She is so sweet and we love her so much!

Robyn and Spencer on our four-wheeler!

Great Grandma Roberts with Addy.
Gavin (Spencer's and Addelyn's cousin) with a bow and arrow that Pa Pa made him.

Pa Pa and Spencer..so dirty!

Tara- Our Cookie Nazi!

Spencer and I with Rachel and Margaret (Clif's cousins) when it had just stated to rain. They were both so good to help out with the kids as well. They were so fun to be with and I hope we get together more often!

Clif and I took the kids home when it started to rain. I had barely gotten out of the shower and Spencer was just falling asleep and in came everyone! This is a picture (well of my butt) of Dad and Uncle Tony telling stories of college days. They were so funny. Eveeryone was laughing and having a great time!
