So Nervous!

I had my ultrasound and OB appointment today. Leading up to it I was so nervous that I made myself really sick! Let's just say lunch didn't stay in my mouth very long.

I used to hit 12 weeks and be so excited because that meant everything was going to be okay. I would stop worry about miscarrying and just focus on the growing baby! Well recently a girl I know went in for her 14 week appointment and they found out that baby had been dead for 2 weeks How hard would that be! Of course you can lose your baby at anytime, so it is best I just don't think about it. It makes it so much easier when you can start to feel them and be more reassured by that.  I was convinced something was going to be wrong with one or the other.

Thankfully everything is wonderful! Last time they measured 2 and 3 days behind my due date, and this time they measured the same as my due date and 1 day ahead! It is normal for them not to measure exactly, especially since twins are usually smaller, but even with that they are measuring right on! I was so relieved and really need to just stop worrying so much, I just can't help it. They also are closer in size, last time they were .20 apart in this time they are only .11 apart!

Once again, it was so weird to see two babies in me...the membrane was much thicker, and they were bouncing all over the place...it was like they were using their sac as a trampoline. I haven't gained any weight since the beginning, one of the reasons I was nervous that something was wrong because in the books I read it said I should be gaining a pound a week. However, I had gained 5lbs before I got pregnant, when I started working out everyday, and then at my 7 week I had gained another 5! Even if I haven't gained more, I don't fit into any of my clothes and I feel big!  I never even felt this big with Addy, because she was mainly belly. With these babies I am wide everywhere and it just makes me look fat and not pregnant!

My Dr. was out of town and so I saw a different doctor. She was super nice and I would even consider seeing her, and I never see girls. She suggested that I see a Maternal Fetal Specialists, so I am now onto seeing my 4th doctor for this baby, ahh! Anyhow, so my next appointment is on the 19th of May and that is also the day I will found out what we are having, YEAH!! On a side note, I got lost like 3 times and can't stand driving downtown, it was so stressful! I miss my gps! On another side note, thank you Lisa for watching my kids, it was so appreciative!

Traditions & Lessons

My friend BJ gave a wonderful talk in our ward the week before Easter. It was about family untiy. In her talk she talked about family traditions. I started to think about the traditions Clif and I have in our family and I couldn't really think of any. I too, think traditions are a great way to have untiy in the family. It also got me to thinking that it doesn't need to be a big tradition, it can be something small and every day that brings your family close together. I really want to be a good mother, I want to be an example to my kids, and I want our family to be close and want to spend time together as a family. However, I am in need of ideas. Please share your fmaily traditions with me, big and small. I also want to hear about how family home evening lessons, sunday activties, and anything memorable that you were taught that sticks out in your mind. I would really appreicate your input!
Thanks!
