Fun times!

I recorded Spencer (without him knowing) while he was making up a silly song. What is more funny to me though is Addy in the background (I think changing her underwear) paying no attention to her "crazy" brother.

A loose Tooth

On Saturday the 22nd, while we were getting ready for a soccer game, Spencer showed me that he had a  loose tooth. When he told me about it and I felt it I was expecting it to barely move, but it surprised me and moved quite a bit. I figured it would probably be 2 to 3 more weeks before it was loose enough to come out, but once again I was wrong. During the Primary Program Practice on Thursday the 27th he pulled it out on his own! I had actually forgotten about it until he came over and handed it to me. He must have been wiggling that thing all week to have come out so soon, or maybe I just underestimated how loose it really was. Regardless, he one very proud kid and as silly as it may seem, I am one very proud mom!

The tooth fairy brought him a dollar coin and a dollar bill! He was super excited!

A rare occassion

Since moving we have gotten out of the habit of taking Sunday Pictures. It was a good way to guarantee that I got pictures of my kids, not in their pjs (though that hardly happens anymore), at least once a week. As soon as we walk through the door Spencer and dad are up the stair and out of their clothes. Fortunately for me I was able to catch them a few times last month and get some typical pictures of 4 little kids.

9/16/12

I need all the pillows for these pictures!
Both girls LOVE to wear everyone else's shoes.
Haleigh's typical glare you down stare!
My! Don't we look excited!
Peek-A-Boo!
9/30/12- Primary Program Day

What a cute/silly kid!

Haleigh decide to join him!
Happy girls. They both came over on their own accord.
For some reason my camera has been taking really blurry pictures!
Addy said something silly!
Then they all lined up- in order from oldest to youngest.
Not on purpose of course, but so nice for me!
How many pictures does it take to get every kid looking? Too many!

Addelyn's First Day of Preschool

On September 4th Addelyn had her last first day of preschool. With moving we decided against going to Mrs. Annette's this year. It was a really hard decision as both Addy and Spencer loved her and she did such a great job. However, I knew that it just wasn't practical with Spencer in school and a baby on the way to be taking Addy to a preschool 15 minutes away.
She is now in Mrs. Melissa's class with friends from her sunbeams class and loving it. It is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00-11:30. There are only 9 kids so she gets lots of attention.
When I asked her who she likes at preschool, she replied with, "All the people." I would say that sums her up perfectly.

I always describe Addelyn as a free spirit because she beats to her own drum and likes to do her own thing. She is also very kind, loving, and makes friends really easily. She hardly ever complains (unless she really wants to do something) and whines. She is often the BIG sister to everyone including Spencer. She just isn't scared about trying new things and sometimes has to help him along. The best thing about Addelyn is that she is my very best friend and princess. I sure do love our time just spent together doing homework, cuddling, or watching a show. Everyone says it, but I am a firm believer in the fact that time really does go by too fast and I need to cherish every moment I have with her. Before I know it she will be all grown with kids of her own.

Spencer Started Kindergarten

On August 28th Spencer started kindergarten. He was so nervous about going to school and repeatedly told me he didn't want to go and he wasn't going. I was really beginning to worry as his anxiety continued to increase. I prayed and prayed that he would be okay as I hadn't witnessed such anxiety in him before.
We decided to have Clif come with me to take him to school just in case he wouldn't let go of me or acted out. Having his dad come to school, along with a much needed Father's Blessing, calmed him down a lot and he went in with no problems.
He is such a big boy!
He sticks his hands in his mouth when he is really nervous.

Hanging up his backpack.
Sitting in his sit.
Addy came along to support him.
Spencer with his good friend Kylie.
We lingered for awhile and once we felt he was comfortable we left. I really became emotional then. I had been so worried for so long that it all came pouring out. It also is like kindergarten is the beginning of him really growing up. He isn't at school long, but he does go every day and soon he will be at school all day everyday. As much as I am excited to see him learn and grown- apart of me isn't ready for him to be in the "real" world without his mom. Spencer has such a tender heart, he is a great big brother, and an excellent helper. I sure love him and hope that he and I can always be the best of friends. Spencer thank you for being my son. I am so lucky and grateful to be blessed to raise you.

Spencer now can't wait for school to start. He loves everything about it, especially riding the bus (which he did on the very first day of school). He is already improving so much and is now reading small books.   He has homework every night, which can be tedious, but I love spending the time doing it with him, just the two of us. I volunteer every Monday and have enjoyed getting to see him interact with the other kids and his teacher. He has a great teacher and know that she was the perfect fit for him.

Addelyn's Hats

Spencer and Addelyn spent Saturday, September 22nd and Sunday the 23rd at Grandma Lila's and Papa's house. During their stay Addy, Aunt Shian, and Grandma Lila had a tea party. Addy dressed up in Grandma Dode's hats and gloves (that they got after Grandma Lee died) and Shian sent me the best pictures (that I will cherish forever) of her posing.
Clif asked her if she knew whose hats she was wearing and she replied with, "Grandma Dode's hats, I know!" She is just too cute.

Spencer wanted his dog to be involved too.
